Weekend Disruption

London Overground
TfL have advised that the weekend of 21/22nd May will be a busy one for upgrades, meaning congestion and confusion for travellers as the Tube undergoes major works to improve infrastructure to ‘increase capacity by around 30%.’

London Overground services will be suspended on Sunday between Sydenham – Crystal Palace due to planned engineering work. Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 01:00 on 22/05/11 to 04:00 on 23/05/11 between Balham and Crystal Palace. Whilst work is taking place, buses will replace Southern trains in both directions between Balham and West Croydon via Crystal Palace

The Hammersmith & City line will also be suspended all weekend between King’s Cross St. Pancras and Barking due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel and track replacement work.
