Take Flight!

A new theatre school has recently opened up at St Hilda’s Church in Honor Oak.

With three terms a year, Take Flight Theatre School is run by Stevie and Ahmet who run weekly classes in Musical Theatre for students aged 4 to 16. As an added bonus, “West End Workshops” are held for an extra fee during the Easter and Summer holidays at which West End performers from shows such as “Wicked!”, “Mamma Mia!” and “The Lion King” will teach the original songs and routines from the shows, giving your child the real West End experience!

Split into three age groups, each session consists of drama techniques, voice training, dance movement and of course lots of drama games! Children will gain confidence, self-esteem and learn to express themselves creatively and effectively. Along the way, the youngsters will also develop the kind of discipline needed for rehearsals and stage work as they gradually work towards an end of term musical project to demonstrate and celebrate their creative abilities. Parents will be invited to come and witness this grand finale!

Whether your child could be the next Billy Elliot or whether they simply just want to have fun, their classes are designed to cater for each child’s ability and needs. They will deliver quality performing arts training and ensure that each child gets the most out of their experience by building life skills and confidence whilst having lots of fun and meeting new friends.
